Job Description

New Resource Group is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive mechanical and tooling service that ensures optimal asset integrity and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Asset Care and Maintenance:
    1. Ensure 98% availability of manufacturing equipment through the implementation of the latest maintenance techniques.
    2. Deliver machine performance improvement projects, including design changes to eliminate repetitive faults.
  2. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSHE) Compliance:
    1. Ensure compliance with HSHE standards across departmental activities, contractors, and assets.
  3. Project Management:
    1. Collaborate with Development Engineers and other team members on project teams to drive improvements in machine performance.
    2. Implement technical improvements to enhance machine performance and reliability.
  4. Quality Management:
    1. Maintain and manage effective quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO9000 and ISO14001 standards.
    2. Evaluate and introduce new technologies to the business, maintaining a high awareness of technological advancements.
    3. Utilize engineering standards and best practices such as RCM and Six Sigma to drive improvements.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing maintenance activity, preferably in a packaging products environment.
  2. Experience with injection moulding technology (essential) and blow moulding technology (preferred).
  3. Strong knowledge of engineering standards and best practices.
  4. IT literate with proficiency in MS Office and CAD systems.
  5. Commercial awareness with a focus on continuous improvement.
  6. Flexible and resourceful with the ability to respond to business pressures.
