New Resource Group is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive mechanical and tooling service that ensures optimal asset integrity and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:- Asset Care and Maintenance:
- Ensure 98% availability of manufacturing equipment through the implementation of the latest maintenance techniques.
- Deliver machine performance improvement projects, including design changes to eliminate repetitive faults.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSHE) Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with HSHE standards across departmental activities, contractors, and assets.
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with Development Engineers and other team members on project teams to drive improvements in machine performance.
- Implement technical improvements to enhance machine performance and reliability.
- Quality Management:
- Maintain and manage effective quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO9000 and ISO14001 standards.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies to the business, maintaining a high awareness of technological advancements.
- Utilize engineering standards and best practices such as RCM and Six Sigma to drive improvements.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing maintenance activity, preferably in a packaging products environment.
- Experience with injection moulding technology (essential) and blow moulding technology (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards and best practices.
- IT literate with proficiency in MS Office and CAD systems.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Flexible and resourceful with the ability to respond to business pressures.
