About the Role:

VRS-UK is seeking an ambitious and experienced sales specialist to represent their microbial identification instrumentation to clinical healthcare laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Develop and implement sales plans to grow current client accounts and identify new business opportunities.
  2. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Prospect and follow-up on leads to identify potential customers and expand the company's reach.
  3. Technical and Commercial Support: Provide technical and commercial support to customers, including arranging and hosting customer demos.
  4. Customer Relationship Management: Work closely with customers to ensure they have the correct solutions, support, and assistance required.
  5. Industry Representation: Attend talks, conferences, and national and international meetings to raise the profile of the company across the broader microbiological sciences community.

Requirements:

Previous scientific sales experience is essential. The ideal candidate will bring experience of selling diagnostic systems and accompanying consumables, although individuals possessing a background in other scientific capital equipment or analytical laboratory services are encouraged to apply.

Personal Qualities:

To succeed in this position, you must enjoy helping people, have excellent communication skills, be organized and proactive.

Travel Requirements:

A large portion of your time will be spent visiting customers' laboratories, and you must be comfortable with a significant amount (up to 60%) of travel.
