About the Position

Our client, a leading entity in their sector, is seeking a skilled Account Manager to enhance their dynamic team. This position allows for remote work, offers an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of up to £64,500, and includes a £6,000 vehicle allowance.

The Account Manager plays a crucial role in driving the business's goal of achieving profitable expansion. This individual will collaborate within the Commercial team, providing assistance, support, and sharing best practices among colleagues. You will primarily work independently within a designated portfolio, focusing on generating profitable growth through the development and maintenance of existing client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate profitable business from a diverse range of accounts within the fleet, leasing, and rental sectors, managing your own time and activities while reporting to the Senior Sales Manager as necessary.
  • Oversee and nurture a portfolio of accounts across various sectors, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Act as a representative of our client, upholding the company’s values and brand image at all times.
  • Manage the tender process from initial research through to documentation completion and final negotiations.
  • Utilize provided reports to monitor your activities on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Provide multi-site coverage for national clients, ensuring a strong connection between local branches and customer depots.
  • Develop and implement annual account plans and strategies that enhance relationships and maximize the benefits of partnerships.
  • Focus on areas such as VRN implementation, EDI, and Delegated Authority, along with marketing initiatives to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Deliver monthly Management Information (MI) reports within agreed timelines, ensuring the data is relevant and tailored to client needs.
  • Establish strong internal relationships with various departments, including Operations and Finance, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Conduct regular reviews with clients to ensure their needs are met and maintain a stable, long-term relationship.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in account management within the fleet, leasing, or rental industry is essential.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience in strategic planning and aligning annual objectives with overall company goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative team player with a commitment to achieving success.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service to all clients.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary ranging from £45,000 to £50,000.
  • OTE of £64,500.
