Key Responsibilities- Case Management: Oversee effective case distribution, utilizing supervision and management report analysis to ensure optimal case handling and resolution. Monitor and assess service outcomes against established benchmarks, providing reports to the management team as necessary.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, making informed decisions within designated authority levels, and guaranteeing staff compliance with all relevant standards.
- Risk Management: Accountable for the thorough analysis and management of risks concerning all children within the team, ensuring team members comply with legislative requirements and guidance.
- Care Planning: Responsible for the development and execution of safe care plans for children in need and those under protection, ensuring timely and quality assessments, planning, implementation, and reviews, while collaborating with children, families, and partner organizations.
- Budget Oversight: Manage team budgets effectively, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, identifying financial pressures and savings, and maintaining a balanced budget.
- Staff Supervision: Provide professional and managerial oversight in line with supervision policies, focusing on staff development, performance management, and addressing underperformance decisively.
- Record Keeping: Ensure compliance and quality in record maintenance and report writing, adhering to the Integrated Children's System and organizational policies.
- Team Development: Facilitate effective service delivery through a well-resourced team, employing recruitment, training, and workforce planning strategies to enhance team performance.
- Complaints Management: Act as the designated officer for complaints, addressing initial complaints in accordance with organizational criteria, and collaborating with staff and partners to resolve service issues and enhance service quality.
- Cross-Team Support: Provide coverage for other team leaders in their absence and assist in resolving inter-team issues as required.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure that children, young people, and their families are actively consulted regarding services, with their feedback shaping service delivery and development.
- Diversity Commitment: Uphold the team's dedication to equality, diversity, and inclusive practices.
- Service Planning Contribution: Engage in service planning activities, identifying future objectives and developments, participating in research, and undertaking project work aligned with the team's skills and workload.
