Position Overview:
A prominent firm in Leeds is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to oversee and guide a team of 3-4 professionals while managing projects ranging from £25K to £10M in value.
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management, particularly within the Commercial and Retail sectors, along with a proven track record of leading small teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of Quantity Surveyors and Cost Managers.
- Drive business development by securing projects and fostering relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
- Leverage your Quantity Surveying expertise and/or consultancy background to enhance global project outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, and clients to deliver cost-efficient solutions.
- Monitor project timelines and prepare comprehensive reports, forecasts, and final accounts.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in Construction Quantity Surveying or Cost Management, either on the Client Side/Consultancy or Contractor Side.
- Background in Commercial/Retail projects.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proven success in achieving financial targets.
- A commitment to promoting innovation and sustainability in project management.
