We are seeking an experienced Art Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering individual and group interventions to adults with learning disabilities, utilizing your specialist therapy skills to adapt flexibly and creatively to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities- Design and establish a specialist clinical Art therapy service for clients, working independently to develop and implement treatment programs.
- Liaise with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the service meets client needs, while working within professional boundaries and HPC ethics and code of conduct.
- Maintain accurate patient records, write reports for consultants and other professionals, and provide feedback on treatment outcomes.
- Access and disseminate up-to-date research and information to support clinical work, and maintain excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Work closely with clients who may display challenging behaviors, verbal and physical aggression, and resistive to change, utilizing a sensitive and thoughtful approach.
