We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our System Coordination Centre (SCC) and provide strategic leadership and management to our Devon Integrated Care System (ICS) team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the SCC team to ensure robust plans, assurance, and escalation strategies are in place to manage system-wide operational pressures.
- Act as the designated Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) for the SCC function, providing senior leadership and oversight.
- Develop and implement effective working relationships with stakeholders across the ICS, including acute, ambulance, community, mental health, primary care providers, and social care services.
- Represent the SCC and EPRR functions within the ICB and ICS, taking a strategic view to improve systems, processes, and commissioned care.
- Provide strategic leadership and management to the SCC team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and achieving strategic objectives.
- Master's degree or equivalent level of experience in a relevant field.
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of current healthcare policy and its impact on strategic objectives.
- Ability to support budget setting and manage high-level risks.
- Member of relevant professional bodies with active clinician registration (GMC, NMC, or HCPC).
- Experience of holding overall responsibility for a system coordination centre function and providing strategic leadership and management at the same level to a system control centre function.
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to communicate complex matters and difficult situations.
- Ability to produce and present concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
- Strategic thinking and ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise.
- Experience of identifying, interpreting, and implementing national policy.
