Job Title: Injection Moulding Technical Manager

We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technical Manager to join our team at The Workshop. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Moulding Production team, ensuring the smooth operation of our Class 8 cleanroom mould shop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the Moulding Production team, including training, health and safety, sickness, and holidays.
  • Oversee all mould tooling maintenance and servicing, liaising with external tooling suppliers.
  • Act as point of contact for all tooling enquiries, arranging quotations and managing suppliers for new tools and tooling repairs.
  • Implement lean activities and upskilling staff to improve production processes and efficiencies.
Requirements:
  • Time served with experience in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in injection moulding tooling management and/or Manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an injection moulding company.
  • Proficient in lean techniques (5S).
  • Excellent knowledge of injection mould tooling, tool making, tooling suppliers, and the plastics industry.
  • Good computer skills, including the ability to read and write CAD data, project planning, and email communication.
  • Strong customer relationship management and phone manner skills.
  • Hold a full driving license and have the ability to travel to customer sites.
