Job Title: Field Site Engineer

Noble Foods Ltd is a leading UK supplier of fresh food brands and a market leader in egg products. We are seeking a skilled Field Site Engineer to support the running of our new factory by resolving breakdowns, delivering maintenance, and driving improvements across the site and site services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out all maintenance across site services and site facilities, ensuring compliance and optimum availability.
  2. Attend to breakdowns onsite, reducing downtime of site plant and machinery.
  3. Perform repairs to plant and equipment during production, minimizing disruptions.
  4. Conduct daily checks on all site services, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
  5. Manage core facility and utilities services, including steam boilers, air compressors, water treatment systems, and refrigeration systems.
  6. Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance, improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  7. Ensure all chemical and bacterial checks/tests of cooling tower water are performed as per internal schedule.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 3 years engineering experience, preferably in the food industry.
  2. Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher, in electrical and/or mechanical subjects, and/or nationally recognized apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
  3. Proven experience of working within the food industry, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  4. Possess Steam utilization and boiler house training certification.
  5. Health and Safety/Basic Food Hygiene trained.
  6. Experience in managing contractors on-site.
  7. Computer literate and a working knowledge of MS Office and a PPM system.
  8. Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings/manuals.
