About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting a varied client portfolio, working closely with the senior management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies.
  • Reconciliation of control accounts.
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Supervise junior staff, including reviewing work and supporting their professional development.
  • Liaise with clients, building trusted relationships and proactively handling queries.
  • Identify new processes and ways to increase efficiency.
  • Research and interpret changes to taxation and accounting regulations.
  • Champion your own professional development, regularly undertaking training opportunities.

Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA newly or part qualified with recent experience in UK practice.
  • A proven track record of managing a client portfolio, including monitoring commercial aspects.
  • Strong working knowledge of software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
  • Good IT skills and a team player who can also work autonomously.
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
