**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an independent caseload, assessing individuals with physical disabilities, sensory impairment, mental ill health, and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage an independent caseload, assessing individuals with physical disabilities, sensory impairment, mental ill health, and learning disabilities.
  • Equipment and Adaptation Provision: Take specific responsibility for the provision of appropriate equipment, minor and major adaptations, and assistive technology, as well as planning and implementing reablement programs.
  • Communication and Engagement: Demonstrate an understanding of the role of an occupational therapist in a community setting, disability issues, and the ability to communicate and engage successfully with citizens and their family/carers.
  • Teamwork and Time Management: Work effectively as a member of a multi-skilled team, manage own time and workload, and communicate successfully within the organization and with external organizations.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Record work in a timely manner, prepare reports as required, and maintain clear and concise case notes.
  • IT Skills and Commitment to Learning: Possess basic IT skills and demonstrate a commitment to learning and development.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Demonstrate an awareness of health and safety issues.
  • Communication and Advice: Communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
  • Understanding of Vulnerable Adults: Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults and their family/carers.
  • Personalisation and Self-Directed Support: Demonstrate an understanding of the concept of personalisation and self-directed support to enable citizens to live independent lives, exercising choice and control in decision-making, working in a reabling manner.
  • Person-Centred Support Planning: Demonstrate an understanding of person-centred support planning, the importance of reablement, and how equipment and adaptation provision can contribute towards this process.
  • Resource Awareness: Demonstrate a broad understanding of the range of available resources to support citizens to maintain their independence.
  • Signposting and Feedback: Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of signposting to universal services and responding proactively to customer feedback, including learning from complaints and compliments.
  • Mental Capacity Act and Care Act: Demonstrate a broad understanding of the Core Principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and sound knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2014.
