About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our design team at Megger, a leading provider of electrical testing equipment. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual designs into precise technical drawings and models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain 3D and 2D CAD documents and Bills of Materials (BoMs) to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Produce mechanical layouts and manufacturing drawings under the direction of mechanical design engineers, utilizing your expertise in CAD software.
  • Provide support for new product transfers to the Dover site, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
  • Ensure all design files and documentation are up to date and compliant with company standards, contributing to the introduction of new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Requirements
  • A suitable engineering qualification such as ONC/OND/NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
  • Proficient in using a 3D CAD system, preferably SolidWorks, for 3D part/assembly creation and 2D detail drawings.
  • Familiar with electromechanical assemblies, plastic molded part design, sheet metalwork, and production documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage deadlines, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in technical report writing.
  • A positive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork, with a willingness to contribute to the company's success.
