We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Rheumatologist to join our team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will have completed broad-based general medical training and gained a CCT in Rheumatology or Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine. They will be expected to provide a comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic Rheumatology service, working closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
The post offers a great opportunity to work in a friendly District General Hospital with a beautiful location in the Peak District. The successful candidate will have access to excellent schools in the local area and a range of staff benefits, including on-site parking, fitness activities, and a health and wellbeing programme.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. They will be expected to participate in Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance, engage with Continuing Professional Development, and contribute to the training and supervision of medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic Rheumatology service.
- Share clinical responsibility for cases with consultant colleagues.
- Ensure service delivery across the wider team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical record keeping.
- Undertake effective liaison with regional colleagues.
- Play an active part in the training and supervision of medical staff.
- Participate in Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance.
- Engage with Continuing Professional Development.
