Position Overview

About the Opportunity:

As a key member of our dynamic procurement team at GTS Group Ltd, you will report directly to the Head of Procurement. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that components are delivered on schedule and within budget, thereby supporting the operational efficiency of our department. You will oversee a variety of sophisticated components and their associated supply chains, providing regular updates to the business and addressing any challenges that arise. Your leadership will be essential in managing supplier relationships and implementing risk management strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple suppliers across designated commodities, delivering highly specialized components and assemblies to the organization.
  • Strategically plan, negotiate, and acquire direct materials for the business.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Procurement and project teams to manage all facets of the purchasing process for various projects.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive supply schedules.
  • Address and resolve complex supply chain challenges through teamwork and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of procurement strategies for selected commodities.
  • Engage in commercial negotiations, including supply agreements, cost reduction initiatives, and quotation assessments.
  • Coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure that issues are documented and resolved promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records through ERP systems and relevant documentation.
  • Manage the MRP system on a daily basis, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools to support departmental reporting and innovate solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Assist in the development of the procurement team and enhance purchase-to-pay processes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in a comparable role.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of procurement experience.
  • Extensive experience in supplier management, preferably within the automotive or motorsport sectors.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
