About the Role

The Project Procurement Specialist will work closely with the engineering team and other internal stakeholders to support the range of projects taking place at MAHLE. This role is responsible for ensuring all parts and services are procured using the company's procedures, while working to the latest legal requirements and continually looking for the best contractual terms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Supply Chain Excellence team to ensure any issues are documented and resolved efficiently.
  • Ensure parts are delivered on time to specification to minimize business risk.
  • Ability to balance varied workload.
  • Support vendor onboarding to MAHLE processes.
  • Help develop the supply chain as we diversify from traditional internal combustion engine units to support a wide range of powertrain technologies.
  • Build relationships with suppliers to ensure the balance of cost, lead time, and quality matches project requirements, with the opportunity to take ownership from sourcing through to delivery.
  • Work closely with the engineering team and other internal stakeholders to support the range of projects taking place at MAHLE.
  • Execute procurement activities to comply with MAHLE processes, while ensuring project deliverables are met in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in MS Office, are essential.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of Windchill or similar Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management system is desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • General understanding of markets, products, and commodities.
  • Ability to demonstrate a proven track record in purchasing.
  • Good contract law knowledge is desirable.
