AV Engineer Job Description

**Job Title:** AV Engineer

**Location:** Newcastle

**Salary:** £25,500 per annum

**Overview:**

Heels & Brogues Recruitment is working with a well-established client in the North East to find an experienced AV Engineer. The role involves installing, configuring, and supporting various audio-visual systems, including projectors, displays, sound systems, and control solutions, at various on-site locations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Install, configure, and commission AV equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, and control systems.
* Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal AV solutions.
* Collaborate with other departments and contractors on-site for seamless AV integration.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system performance.

**Requirements:**

* Experience in AV installation, including sound systems, video displays, and control systems or similar field.
* Proficiency in cabling (cat5/5e/6/6A and fibre optic).
* Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with AV testing equipment.
* Full UK driving licence.

**Desirable:**

* Experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX).
* CSCS/ECS card and basic networking knowledge.
* IPAF/PASMA certification for safe working at height.
