Maintenance Team Leader

- Ensure equipment availability meets departmental targets for shift
- Manage team holidays for Maintenance Technicians on shift, adhering to company policy and procedure
- Swiftly address plant faults and defects to maintain facility operations
- Conduct root cause analysis of repeat/major breakdowns and provide reports with suggested improvements
- Engineer out previous issues through a continuous improvement mindset and methodology
- Facilitate PM schedules and make recommendations for improvement, delegating tasks to team members to ensure KPI compliance
- Support internal customers with technical issues, including non-breakdowns
- Comply with corporate practices, procedures, and policies related to Occupational Safety and Health administration rules (OSHA) during maintenance processes
- Attend training as required and adhere to CCUK and Magna standards
- Apply 5S methodology in the work area and wider factory
- Drive departmental and company goals/objectives
- Promote a positive example, reflecting the Magna Employees Charter, Corporate Constitution, and Division's Mission, Vision, Objectives, Goals, and Values
- Experience with Disciplinaries and Investigations
- Experience in PDR's, PIP's, and Absence management
- Coach, mentor, and conduct annual appraisals of team members
- Support management with ad-hoc projects as needed
- Plan and organize work shifts for timely completion of maintenance activities
- Lead a team and delegate work functions
- Promote the company's HSE policies across the department and plant, adhering to all Health and Safety environmental requirements
- Organize job training activities for the team

Essential
- Previous experience in a Maintenance function
- Time served apprentice in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Willingness to multi-skill
- Ability to delegate to skilled workers
- Report writing skills
- Experience in fault finding from hydraulic & pneumatic schematics
- Good Microsoft package (especially: word, excel)
- Ability to communicate technical issues and conduct start of shift briefs
- 5's experience
Desirable
- Qualification in both Electrical & Mechanical discipline
- Educated to HNC/HND in related discipline
- Experience within the Castings sector
- Health and Safety accreditation
- Experience of Tier 1 Automotive supply
- Previous experience leading a technical team
