Software Architect Role at Cathcart Technology

Cathcart Technology is seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join their team in Edinburgh. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for designing and architecting systems across multiple teams.

About the Role

This is a pivotal position within the company, and you will be working on a market-leading product that has been a flagship for over 20 years. You will be responsible for system design, re-architecture, and some hands-on coding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect systems across multiple teams
  • Work on the flagship product, responsible for system design, re-architecture, and some hands-on coding
  • Collaborate with key members of the organization
  • Develop strong commercial enterprise-level cloud experience
  • Work in a heavy Microsoft environment with a strong focus on Azure cloud
  • Develop skills in C#,.NET Core, Web API, Azure, and Angular

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in an Architect or similar role, ideally at enterprise level
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Technical background, likely from a Software Development background
  • Strong commercial enterprise-level cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP is fine)
  • Background in.NET development ideal, but other Object-Oriented languages also fine
  • Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban etc)
