Position Overview
We are in search of a passionate and proactive individual to fill the role of Head Chef within our Catering Services Team. This position involves supporting the Head of Catering Services and overseeing the catering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals for both patients and staff while maintaining outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the Catering Department, which serves meals to patients and staff while meeting the hospitality needs of the wider Trust.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation are maintained.
- Utilize strong leadership and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of relevant computer software, including Word and Excel, and demonstrate proficiency in administrative tasks.
- Oversee catering services at our Ellesmere Port Hospital, requiring regular visits to ensure compliance with catering standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in the catering industry, ideally holding an advanced certificate or diploma (minimum NVQ Qualification Level 3) along with relevant experience. A valid driving license is necessary for the management of catering services across multiple locations.
