We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the Early Intervention in Psychosis service. This role involves working with both children and adults, providing clinical care and support to individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis.

As a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will work under the supervision of the Nurse Consultant, Consultant Psychiatrist, and Team Psychologist. You will be responsible for providing supervision and teaching, leading on relevant audit and service improvement initiatives, and collaborating on ongoing research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care and support to individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis
  • Work under the supervision of the Nurse Consultant, Consultant Psychiatrist, and Team Psychologist
  • Provide supervision and teaching to junior staff members
  • Lead on relevant audit and service improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate on ongoing research projects
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • Registered Nurse - Mental Health qualification
  • Working toward or has an MSc in Advanced Practice
  • Substantive experience of working in early intervention in psychosis services
  • Working toward or is a current non-medical prescriber
  • Psychological and psychosocial therapy skills related to psychosis
  • Clinical/Patient Assessment course
  • Teaching qualification
  • Research experience
  • Skilled in the use of health technology in assessment, outcome measurement, and interventions
