About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and caring individual to join our Theatre Department as a Healthcare Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Registered Practitioners and Assistant Practitioners in the assessment, planning, management, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Carry out delegated clinical and care tasks to a high standard, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Practitioner or Assistant Practitioner.
  • Check in patients to the theatres department, assist and wait with patients in the anaesthetic room, and assist theatre practitioners in setting up theatres.
Requirements
  • Minimum of QCF Level 2 (formerly NVQ Level 2) in Health or willingness to complete QCF qualification within agreed timeframe.
  • Experience of working or caring in a health or social care environment.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the scope of the role within a team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience working in Theatres or Surgical Ward.
  • Customer care skills.
