The Opportunity:
As the Onshore Inspection Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting inspection projects at every phase, from proposal to offshore execution and reporting.
You should be an experienced Inspection Supervisor with a commitment to delivering exceptional inspection data. Your adaptable approach will enable you to attend project mobilizations as necessary.
A thorough understanding of work specifications, project requirements, and client objectives is essential. Familiarity with various inspection data systems and equipment is required, along with the ability to specify and evaluate systems as needed.
Main Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective communication with both onshore and offshore project teams.
- Keep the Onshore Inspection Lead updated on project inspection activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Promote Rovco's values, ensuring adherence to health, safety, environmental, quality, and ethical standards.
- Oversee the control and quality assurance of inspection data and delivery processes.
- Participate in tender meetings and provide insights on inspection resources.
- Ensure proper specification and acquisition of inspection equipment prior to project initiation.
- Draft project procedures and create offshore work packs, ensuring the offshore team has all necessary documents and data.
- Verify equipment at the base before mobilization and confirm receipt by the vessel.
- Assist with the setup of equipment and systems as required.
- Ensure timely delivery of all project data and documents to the inspection team.
- Act as the primary onshore contact for all inspection-related matters during project execution.
- Attend vessel calls as requested by the Project Manager.
- Report ongoing progress and any issues to the Onshore Inspection Lead.
- Provide technical and procedural guidance for project inspection activities.
- Support the offshore team during demobilizations as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date records of equipment movements on company systems.
- Coordinate with offshore and IT teams to ensure data is backed up according to agreed processes.
- Prepare the onshore data delivery site.
- Ensure the offshore team reports any faults or damages appropriately.
- Facilitate the provision of replacement equipment as necessary.
- Track the creation and delivery of reports from the offshore team.
- Conduct quality control and/or create reports from inspection data.
- Prepare final deliverables for client issuance.
- Support the delivery platform preparation.
- Report progress to the Project Manager and Onshore Inspection Lead.
- Address client feedback as required.
- Adhere to data quality control processes.
- Complete daily and weekly quality checks and assurance tasks.
- Perform ad-hoc activities as requested by the Inspection Lead or Project Manager within agreed timeframes.
You should apply if you have:
- A minimum of 5 years of 3.4U experience, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
- Current CSWIP 3.4U certification.
- A valid UK driving license.
- Valid OGUK medical and BOSIET/FOET/HUET (desired but not essential).
- Experience in planning offshore inspection projects.
- Experience in inspection data acquisition and reporting.
- Proficiency in inspection software and MS Office.
- Significant experience with ROV inspection projects.
- Experience in mobilization, calibration, and demobilization of inspection equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Full professional proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
