Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Simpson Booth Limited. As a key member of our Quickflange business unit, you will be responsible for providing engineering support and expertise to drive the success of our products.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks. You will be responsible for creating parts, assemblies, and drawings, as well as liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to manage the manufacture of components.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing new products and components using 3D CAD software
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product development and improvement
- Ensuring all designs and documents meet quality and safety standards
- Providing technical support to sales teams and other business units as required
Requirements:
- Strong background in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline
- Experience with 3D CAD design using SolidWorks
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
