Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our Quickflange team. As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and improvement of new and existing mechanical connectors used in process piping systems globally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support from enquiry through to installation and liaise with all Quickflange business functions throughout projects.
  • Assist in the design and development of new Quickflange mechanical connectors and activation tools.
  • Create engineering drawings and 3D models for new product development and fitment checks.
  • Perform engineering calculations from first principle and computational simulations (FEA) to ensure products meet safety, reliability, and performance standards following training.
  • Support product testing, including planning, execution, and analysis of test results to validate design and functionality.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to product issues in the field.
  • Collaborate with the Quickflange research and development teams to enhance existing products and drive innovation in the design process.
  • Work alongside project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure timely and effective project delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:2 bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree is advantageous but not essential).
  • Keen interest in 3D design modelling, with experience using CAD packages such as SolidWorks.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent report writing and general administration skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
