Job Description

We are a leading multinational company in the commercial vehicle industry, developing and manufacturing products for brake and suspension systems. Our global presence spans sales offices, R&D sites, and production facilities worldwide.

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our UK R&D site at MIRA. As the lead developer for our automotive telematics product line, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software for various telematics applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software for commercial vehicle diagnostics and maintenance, fleet management, driver safety and security, and connected trailer services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets business requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain software using C, with expertise in real-time, embedded, and multi-threaded systems.
  • Implement security protocols and ensure software meets cybersecurity standards.
  • Work with Agile software development methodologies and Continuous Deployment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, such as IoT and telematics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in embedded software development, product engineering, or software design.
  • Expertise in software development for real-time, embedded, and multi-threaded systems.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and Continuous Deployment.
  • Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) and/or telematics technology.
  • Experience working with RTOS and board-level hardware design.
  • Experience with remote interfaces such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM, Satellite, Radio.
  • Experience with UDP, TCP/IP, CAN, MQTT networking communication protocols.
