Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Developer to join our team at Haldex's UK R&D site at MIRA. As the lead software developer for our automotive telematics product line, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software for a variety of telematics applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software for commercial vehicle diagnostics and maintenance, fleet management, driver safety and security, and connected trailer services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets business requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain software using C, with expertise in real-time, embedded, multi-threaded systems.
  • Implement security protocols and ensure software meets cybersecurity standards.
  • Work with Agile software development methodologies and Continuous Deployment.
  • Develop and maintain software for Internet of Things (IoT) and telematics technology.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop board-level hardware design and drivers/firmware design.
  • Develop and maintain software for remote interfaces such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM, Satellite, and Radio.
  • Develop and maintain software for networking communication protocols such as UDP, TCP/IP, CAN, and MQTT.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in embedded software development, product engineering, or software design.
  • Expertise in software development for real-time, embedded, multi-threaded systems.
  • Expertise in security protocols and cybersecurity standards.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and Continuous Deployment.
  • Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) and telematics technology.
  • Experience working with RTOS and board-level hardware design.
  • Experience with remote interfaces and networking communication protocols.
