Electrical Maintenance Technician

Industry: Quarrying & Aggregates

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week (typically starting at 6am)

Overtime:
1.5x pay for overtime during the week & 2x pay on Sundays.

Benefits:
50% local work (starting from home daily), 50% travel with substantial overtime opportunities (30-50 hours available monthly), travel time compensated at 22p per mile, fully covered company vehicle, fuel card, mobile device, laptop/iPad, 20 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays, 8% pension contribution, accommodation in quality hotels with meal allowances when traveling, premium uniforms and personal protective equipment provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a team of 35 professionals to execute electrical installations throughout the East Midlands and the UK within the quarrying and aggregates sector.
  • Engage in typical projects involving the installation and commissioning of control circuits, low voltage equipment, three-phase distribution boards, control panels, conveyor systems, power distribution, emergency lighting, SWA cabling, and containment.
  • Interpret schematic wiring diagrams to ensure accurate project installations.
  • Handle smaller projects that include routine and emergency maintenance tasks.
  • Uphold high standards of craftsmanship in completed projects while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- Approved Electrician status with a recognized Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation, JIB/ECS Gold Card, and AM2 certification.
