About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our IT Service Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our campus network infrastructure.

Your primary focus will be on supporting our IT Service Management (ITSM) function, while guiding and assisting with network-related issues. You will ensure operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance of our campus network infrastructure, handling challenging tasks with efficiency and precision.

Our network is extremely resilient, supporting the continued growth of our platform and consisting of a wide range of technologies from leading vendors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices at a low level, including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as Ethernet, TCP, and IP, VLANs, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Experience and understanding of the delivery of IT Service design, implementation, and management.
  • Experience of working with third-party suppliers of products and services, in conjunction with in-house teams to provide integrated and seamless delivery of technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve network issues.
  • Knowledge of network security principles, including access control lists, firewall policies, and VPN configurations.
  • Experience in working with low-level network protocols and technologies, such as DHCP, DNS, NAT, and IP addressing.
  • Ability to perform basic network device configurations, including firmware upgrades, port configurations, and VLAN assignments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve network issues.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, provide technical support to end users, and explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Cisco SD-Access and Cisco wireless technologies.
  • Experience with SASE technologies, such as Palo Alto Prisma Access or Netskope NewEdge.
  • Ability to work alongside architects and technical leads to serve as the main point of contact for the management and optimization of campus network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of network policies and procedures, aligning with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to perform regular upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to maintain optimal performance and seamless connectivity.
  • Collaboration with IT Services teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, providing Level 3 support and guidance to IT Services teams.
