We are seeking an experienced and qualified HLTA to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Redbridge, London.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children with SEN and experience in leading a nurture class.

The role will involve working closely with the class teachers to deliver the national curriculum and assisting with daily integration into mainstream lessons.

You will also work closely with the SENCO to ensure the children's needs are being met and collaborate with outside organisations such as Speech & Language Therapists and Occupational therapists.

The ideal candidate will hold the HLTA qualification or equivalent and have experience working with children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the nurture class and work closely with teaching assistants to deliver lessons and interventions
  • Work with class teachers to deliver the national curriculum and assist with daily integration into mainstream lessons
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and outside organisations to ensure the children's needs are being met
  • Have experience working with children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent
