Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional, educational, and behavioral support to children with SEN
  • Assist the class teacher with general classroom learning and behavior
  • Work closely with the SENCO to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistency in support

Requirements:

  • Desire to help children with SEN excel in education
  • Experience supporting children with SEN or close personal experience
  • Patience, caring, and understanding approach
  • Ability to work independently and set clear boundaries
