About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support our team of chartered building surveyors and property managers at Reed. This role involves working with a diverse range of commercial, block management, and residential sector clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and appropriate fee income.

Key Responsibilities
  • Defect Diagnosis and Reporting: Diagnose defects and report on remedial work to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Tendering and Contract Administration: Obtain quotes and tenders for both minor and major works, prepare specifications and tender documentation, conduct tender analysis and compile reports, and prepare contract documents and administer contracts.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and conducting Fire, Health & Safety Assessments.
  • Client Liaison and Communication: Maintain client liaison, monitor contractor's works, and prepare schedules of dilapidations and conditions.
  • Party Wall Awards and Compliance: Prepare and agree on Party Wall awards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Building Survey degree (2:1 minimum) and GCSE's Maths and English (A* to B).
  • Experience and Skills: 1 year's experience as a Building Surveyor and full UK Driver's License.
