About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated individual to support carers of people living with dementia through our Carers' Information and Support Programmes (CrISP).
As a CrISP Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in providing a friendly and welcoming environment for carers to share their experiences and receive support and information.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing refreshments and a listening ear to carers
- Encouraging carers to share their experiences and provide information on caring for a person with dementia
- Supporting Dementia Advisers at CrISP courses
CrISP courses are 4 weeks duration, 3 hours per week, and take place several times a year in various locations. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to supporting these courses and helping to spread the word about the CrISP programme.
What You'll Gain
As a CrISP Support Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of carers and people living with dementia. You will also gain valuable experience and skills in supporting vulnerable adults and working as part of a team.
Requirements
We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about supporting carers and people living with dementia. You will need to be able to commit to supporting CrISP courses and be available to work in various locations.
