Job Title: Principal Test Equipment Engineer

At Leonardo, we are seeking an experienced Principal Test Equipment Engineer to join our Electronics Division in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will provide engineering support to our Support and Services Solutions (S3) business unit, ensuring the delivery of effective engineering support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a close-knit team of engineers in calibration, repair, maintenance, and safety testing activities.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize equipment availability.
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure effective asset management.
  • Identify areas of improvement and drive changes in working practices and toolsets.
  • Develop and report on service level key performance indicators.
Requirements:
  • Education to HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous team leadership experience or a desire to develop a career in team leadership.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in debugging and fault finding of complex electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of measurement systems and the full product design lifecycle.
