Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Legal and Casework. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of employment and trade union law, as well as excellent management and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Legal and Casework team to provide high-quality legal support services to members, lay officials, and casework staff across the UK.
  • Ensure compliance with the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act (TULRA) and other relevant legislation.
  • Develop and implement effective casework management systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless and effective service delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of employment and trade union law.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with members and staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to the goals of the trade union movement and to advancing equal opportunities and anti-discrimination.
