About the Role:

We are in search of a passionate and skilled educator who possesses a profound understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) alongside SEMH challenges. Your commitment to positively influencing the lives of young learners who require additional support is essential.

Our SEMH School in Enfield provides a nurturing atmosphere where every student is encouraged to flourish. We cater to learners aged 11 to 18, focusing on their social, emotional, and mental health needs. Our mission is to deliver a comprehensive educational experience that addresses the unique requirements of each student, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored for students in KS2 and KS3, including core subjects such as Maths and English, as well as PSHE.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans that address the distinct needs of each student.
  • Utilize a trauma-informed teaching approach to ensure a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support for students.
  • Inspire a love for learning through engaging and nurturing educational experiences.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes social and emotional growth.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to establish strong home-school partnerships.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Demonstrated experience teaching KS2 / KS3
  • Experience working with students with SEMH and SEND, along with an understanding of trauma and attachment issues.
  • Strong knowledge of social, emotional, and mental health teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient disposition.
  • Adaptable teaching approach to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Passion for supporting students with SEMH and SEND.
  • Ability to create engaging and inspiring lessons.
  • Effective classroom management skills.
