About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our front-line Phlebotomy Team, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a compassionate and caring manner.

Main Responsibilities

  • To collect blood samples from patients in a timely and efficient manner, using the latest technology for labeling and tracking samples.
  • To work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and reliable sample collection.
  • To maintain the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • To assist patients who may be experiencing difficulties or discomfort during the blood-taking process.
  • To report any accidents or incidents to senior staff and complete necessary documentation promptly.
  • To maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
  • To work flexibly and be a team player, supporting colleagues as needed to ensure smooth operations.
