About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our front-line Phlebotomy Team, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a variety of settings, including wards and clinics.
Main Responsibilities
- To collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner, using a range of techniques and equipment.
- To work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that blood samples are collected and processed accurately and on time.
- To maintain accurate records of blood samples collected and processed, and to report any issues or concerns to senior staff.
- To work flexibly and be a team player, supporting colleagues as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the Phlebotomy Service.
- To maintain the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality, and to report any incidents or accidents to senior staff promptly.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and protocols to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Phlebotomy Service.
