About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in supporting our Pathology service, providing blood samples from patients to our laboratories.
Main Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner
- Label and process samples accurately and efficiently
- Work collaboratively with our healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Embrace the use of technology to improve labelling and sample processing
- Provide excellent patient care and support, including assistance with blood taking and answering patient queries
- Ensure work areas are clean and well-stocked, and report any incidents or accidents promptly
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of our patients and teams
