Behaviour Mentor

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a school in Wallington. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with class teachers to ensure the school's behaviour policy is implemented effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Work alongside class teachers to ensure the school behaviour policy is adhered to.
- Be aware of and remain responsible for all safeguarding of pupils within your care.
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to ensure best outcomes for students.
- Foster the student's independence.
- Promote wellbeing and good welfare.
- Immediate right to work in the UK.
- Experience of working with students with SEND within a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting, or within a mainstream school.
- Patient and understanding approach.
- Flexible approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Existing DBS check on the update service.
- Experience of augmentative and alternative communication (PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method) are beneficial, but not essential.
