Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager for a Substation Extension project in Carlisle. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading contractor on a high-profile infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the work of site and section engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate temporary works and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage construction activities, including reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame buildings, to meet project requirements.
  • Contribute to project planning, execution, and quality control to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and maintain strong relationships.
  • Previous experience with lifting operations is preferred, and familiarity with related safety practices is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on construction sites, particularly in substation projects, with a strong background in reinforced concrete, groundworks, and steel frame construction.
  • Experience in Temporary Works Coordination is essential, and a strong understanding of industry regulations and standards is required.
  • Familiarity with lifting operations and related safety practices is a plus, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers is essential.
