About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Stores Controller to join our team at Valeo Foods UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the engineering stores and ensuring the availability of spare parts and materials essential for the smooth running of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the engineering stores and ensure the availability of spare parts and materials
- Maintain stock levels and ensure inventory accuracy
- Work closely with the engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency
- Review all purchasing requests for production consumables and liaise with Engineers/Engineering Team Leaders about parts needed
- Book in all completed delivered orders on the systems through Holistech and coordinate with purchase ledger to meet all booking in requirements
- Drive a culture of searching for the best quality materials at the best possible price
- Work with Engineering team to create and facilitate the use of kitting lists for a proactive maintenance approach
- Explore and promote the use of reverse Engineering techniques to create a wider database of suppliers, creating better lead time, cost, and quality
Requirements:
- Knowledge of engineering, machine parts, and ordering systems
- Strong computer skills – Excel/Word
- Experienced with Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – Holistech preferable
