Reporting to the Store Manager, the Store Operations Leader will play a key role in fostering growth within the company-owned Queensferry location.
As a vital member of the 'Store Operations Leader' team, you will be instrumental in supporting the Store Manager in guiding and inspiring a team of associates.
You will be part of the Store Manager's leadership team, ensuring exceptional customer service and contributing to achieving store sales and profitability through 'Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food For Later, Food For Now'.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting the Store Manager in maintaining a safe, legal, and high-performing store while taking overall responsibility for the entire store during Store Operations Leader shifts
Aiding the Store Manager in achieving all store operations, objectives, and KPIs
Managing, coaching, and supporting team members, fostering a motivated and empowered workforce through a positive and engaging management approach
Conducting performance management and absence management as necessary
Responsible for occasional opening/closing of the store, ensuring colleague safety and stock/cash security/accountability as appropriate during shifts
Performing cash reconciliations, voids, refunds, and other 'management' tasks for till associates
Serving as a role model and leading the team to collaborate in delivering an exceptional customer experience, distinguishing us from our competitors
Collaborating with colleagues to promote the store by identifying and acting on opportunities to engage with and support the local community
Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and processes
Required Skills for Store Operations Leader:
Previous management or supervisory experience within a food retail or similar fast-paced environment
Dedicated to achieving and maintaining exceptional customer service standards
Capable of planning, organizing, and prioritizing effectively
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels
Able to take appropriate action and make informed decisions
Committed to fostering collaborative working relationships
Enthusiastic and adaptable with a positive mindset
Committed to personal development and applying learning to enhance performance
