Job Title - Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor Role

Sector - Civil Engineering

The project involves civil engineering works, including footpath construction, kerbing, shared use paths, drainage, tarmac laying, and traffic management. The project is based on a site in Conwy, with occasional office visits.

This is an office/site-based role, requiring one day a week on-site. The client is a medium-sized civil engineering and groundworks contractor.

Candidate Essential Skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced civil engineering/groundworks/RC frame environment
  • Compiled and administered NEC subcontract contracts previously
  • Ability to commute to the project and be available to work on-site one day a week
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills
  • A team player with a positive attitude, outgoing, assertive, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible
Duties
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Undertaking costs analysis
  • Working autonomously with little supervision
  • Procurement
  • Agreement of the valuation of variations
  • Checking of sub-contractors' interim and final account applications and preparation of associated payments
  • Cost value reconciliations
  • Monthly reporting
  • Assisting in establishing a client's requirements
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control
