About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Alternative Futures Group in Burnley. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to individuals with varying care needs, including those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health concerns, and complex care requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Support individuals to engage in activities that promote social inclusion, leisure, and recreation.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with complex needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
