Warehouse Operative Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Operative to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manually loading and unloading caged and palletized goods from lorries.
- Using the warehouse system and scanner to receive, locate, and dispatch goods while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Replenishing and consolidating stock as required, and assembling cages for orders to be safely stacked in racking.
- Assisting with wrapping and labeling of pallets, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Completing relevant paperwork in line with warehouse processes, including reporting any defects or issues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with computerized warehouse management systems, with Manhattan scale being an advantage.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
