About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our Services Central Engineering team, you will be responsible for the deployment and application of Train Control & Information Solutions development procedures, processes, and design rules on your project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper management and traceability of the hardware and software configuration, including design tools, and produce release notes.
  • Verify that the content of the baselines, release or delivery notes, and Software Reference versions identifications conform to the release.
  • Achieve the specified software quality requirements detailed in System Engineering and TCMS Software Quality Plan, and inform team members of their associated responsibilities.
  • Ensure the quality of all domains of your project, including software.
  • Chair or support design planning and the achievement of Design/Verification reviews in all steps of the Design For Quality cycle.
  • Deliver all TC & IS Engineering outputs, including TCMS RSADs, Software specification or Functional Design Description FDD, Software, Electrical Schemes, and Electrical Products definition, in compliance with Engineering commitments.
  • Manage interfaces and ensure follow-up of sub-systems, including electrical components, PACIS, CCTV, Multimedia, TCMS, Event recorder, Train Ground Communication, and ATC/Safety equipment.
  • Deliver Train Software according to your Engineering Work Package.
  • Be accountable for Software Validation for projects or multiple projects/products.
About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. We're looking for someone with a university degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. You should have experience in Software system/Application engineering for Engineers, hands-on development experience of one or more software phases, and a good working level knowledge of network protocols like MVB, Ethernet, CAN, RS232, and RS 485.

Mandatory experience includes working knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment, and proficiency in the use of MS Office, SAP, BI/BO. Desirable experience includes knowledge of rolling stock, certification in System Engineering, and experience working with safety management systems and safety risk assessment.
