Job Title: Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our anaesthetic department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to children and adolescents.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric anaesthesia and will be able to demonstrate expertise in the management of complex cases. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anaesthetic care to children and adolescents in a variety of settings, including operating theatres and intensive care units.
  • Develop and implement anaesthetic plans for complex cases, taking into account the individual needs of each patient.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff and students.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration and a specialist qualification in anaesthesia.
  • Experience in paediatric anaesthesia, including the management of complex cases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including on-call shifts and weekends.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest advances in paediatric anaesthesia.
