Job Title: Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to children and adolescents, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a strong focus on patient care and safety. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our team of anaesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality anaesthetic care to children and adolescents
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration
  • FRCA or equivalent
  • Advanced Training in paediatric anaesthesia or Equivalent
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Anaesthesia Via; o CCT (Proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview) o CESR or o European Community Rights
  • MD, PhD or other postgraduate qualification (PGCert, PGDip, MSc)
  • ALS/EPLS/ATLS instructor or equivalent
  • Capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
