Compliance Officer - Maritime Market Data

The Baltic Exchange is seeking a highly motivated Compliance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Compliance Function, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business operates effectively and in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in all areas related to benchmark administration, including Conduct Rules, Conflicts of Interest, and Personal Account Dealing.
  • Assist in the development of documentation for first-line business departments and undertake periodic monitoring of data protection requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with relevant regulatory developments and changes that may affect the Baltic Exchange or its subsidiary benchmark administrator entity.
  • Contribute to the preparation of documentation and compliance programs for annual audit.
  • Support the Head of Compliance in reviewing and updating relevant documentation, strategies, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree supplemented by a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in compliance or risk management.
  • Strong basic IT skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the remainder of the MS Office suite.
  • Compliance-related qualifications desirable.
