About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our team at IES Ltd. as a key member of our Cloud Solutions department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of our cloud-based solutions, working closely with our Cloud Architect to execute our cloud strategy and provide technical expertise to our software development team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a strategic role in shaping the future of our cloud-based solutions and contributing to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Architect to execute our cloud strategy and provide technical expertise to the software development team.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring that our cloud-based solutions are well-documented and easily maintainable.
  • Work closely with our development team to ensure that our cloud-based solutions meet the required quality and security standards.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, ensuring that our cloud-based solutions are efficient and effective.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to our development team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality cloud-based solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, ensuring that our cloud-based solutions remain competitive and innovative.
Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience in software development, preferably in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of.NET (Core 3.1 and newer), Azure, Docker, relational and non-relational databases.
  • Demonstrated experience as a technical leader, with a strong track record of delivering complex cloud-based solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis, with a strong understanding of cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience designing and documenting software architectures, with a strong focus on cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps and git.
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) would be beneficial.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends.
  • Ability to prototype as a result of research.
  • Ability to present ideas in audience-appropriate language.
  • Ability to manage business and technical relationships with internal clients.
